We are looking for a Bar Manager who will help develop exciting cocktails and drink menus inspired by the fantastic Norwegian coast, a skilled bartender with management experience.

Duti es and responsibilities
As a Bar Manager, you are responsible for the bar and will create unforgettable experiences for the bar's guests together with your team, and help put the bars on the map of Norway.
Your main duties include
• Operational responsibility for the bar, including quality of service, product standards, and guest experience.
• Oversee the daily operations of the bar, including receiving orders, advising guests, and preparing high-quality drinks and cocktails.
• Ensure excellent service and a professional, welcoming guest experience at all times.
• Prepare the bar for service and maintain a clean, organized, and presentable bar area.
• Organize and hold all types of beverage-tastings for guests with focus on engagement, knowledge sharing, and memorable experiences.
• Collaborate closely with the F&B Manager on board and the group’s F&B management to develop the bar menu and concepts.
• Identify and implement strategies for upselling drinks and promoting special offers.
• Ensure compliance with recipes, menus, concepts, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Collaborates with the onshore F&B team to develop bar concepts and menus, ensuring innovative offerings that align with company standards and guest expectations.
• Know and follow alcohol laws and safety regulations.
• Order bar supplies in coordination with the warehouse manager.
• Train, guide, and develop bar staff, including apprentices and new team members.
• Participate in cross-departmental tasks and support other areas onboard when needed.
• Wear correct and presentable uniform in accordance with company standards.
Qualifications/Experience
• You are a skilled manager and it is desirable with previous experience as a bar manager or similar role
• Work experience from Fine Dining
• Basic experience working as a bartender
• Minimum 3 years experience with a focus on cocktails
• You are creative and passionate about storytelling through cocktails
• The position requires you to be able to communicate well in English
• Scandinavian language is an advantage
• German and/or French language is a desire
• All employees must have; Basic safety STCW A-V/1-1, 1-2, 1-3, 1-4, Crowd and Crisis Management, and approved health certificate from authorized seafarer doctor. There is no requirement to have completed the courses before applying, but you must be willing to take them, and please note that the individual must pay for the courses themselves
