JAPEX Norge is looking for a Reservoir Geoscientist to support reservoir characterization and reserves evaluation on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS).

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in integrating static and dynamic data to evaluate and build reservoir models, identify potential infill targets and support strategic decisions. He/she should demonstrate experience in statistical methods to capture reservoir uncertainties as well as reservoir engineering basics.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Stavanger. The role is ideal for someone who is passionate about delivering results in a dynamic environment. You will join a multicultural subsurface team of geologists and reservoir engineers in Stavanger, where collaboration, adaptability, ownership and initiative will be key to integration and success.

Key Responsibilities
• Evaluate, build and maintain static reservoir models integrating petrophysical, geological, geophysical, and production data.
• Perform reservoir characterization and uncertainty analysis.
• Work closely with reservoir engineers to optimize subsurface model design.
• Evaluate reserves and resources in accordance with industry standards.
• Support license work and participate actively in technical discussions with partners and authorities.
• Evaluate farm-in opportunities for development projects and producing fields with corresponding recommendations.
• Identify and explore possible measures for resource additions from discoveries and fields.
• Provide technical input for strategic decisions related to reservoir performance and growth opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in reservoir geoscience or subsurface modelling.
• Experience with 4D seismic analysis is an advantage.
• Experience from NCS license work.
• Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as Geoscience.
• Proficiency in Petrel or equivalent reservoir modelling software.
• Familiarity with uncertainty analysis and volumetric calculations.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
