About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of one of our clients for a skilled Electrical / Heat Trace Engineer to join a large EPC greenfield project. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a major development and further strengthen your expertise in electrical heat trace (EHT) design.
Key Responsibilities
• Calculate, select, and oversee heat trace cable design.
• Design and follow up on heat trace requirements in accordance with P&IDs and project specifications.
• Input, update, and maintain the heat trace engineering register.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and coordinate between fabrication and engineering teams.
• Interface with other disciplines to ensure compliant and reliable heat tracing solutions.
Qualifications and Education
• Bachelor’s degree or Technical College education combined with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience with onshore and offshore facilities.
• Valid EX course certification (renewed every 5 years). If not currently held, the course must be completed shortly after project start.
• FSE certification with first aid.
Experience Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the design and calculation of electrical heat trace systems for offshore projects.
• Solid understanding of electrical design according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, and IEC.
• Experience with design tools such as Aveva E3D and Navisworks.
Personal Qualities
• Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.
• Cooperative working attitude and ability to thrive in a multicultural team environment.
• Strong team player with the ability to work independently when required.
• Systematic and accurate, with strong commitment to deadlines and quality standards.
• Proactive mindset, open to seeking advice and sharing experience with others.
