Position: Waiter

We are looking for experienced, passionate, and team-oriented individuals to join our restaurant team for the upcoming season. As a waiter at Walaker Hotel, you will help deliver a fine dining experience that reflects Norwegian culinary traditions and world-class hospitality.

Requirements:
• Previous experience in restaurant service is required, with fine dining or high-quality experience highly preferred.
• Experience from Norway or Scandinavia is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and commitment to excellent guest service.
• English communication skills; other languages are a plus.
• A proactive mindset and willingness to help wherever needed.

About the Dinner Service
Our dinner experience is a highlight for guests, featuring a seasonal 4-course menu crafted from local ingredients and served in an intimate, historic dining room overlooking the Lustrafjord. The service is personal and elegant, with a strong focus on storytelling, wine pairing, and creating memorable moments for every guest.

Responsibilities:
• Provide professional and engaging service during dinner, breakfast, and other meals.
• Entertain and interact with guests, sharing stories about the hotel and local culture.
• Carry plates and trays with confidence and care.
• Pour and recommend wines, upsell beverages, and assist with wine pairings.
• Handle payments and reservations when needed.
• Assist with dishwashing, cleaning, and resetting the restaurant for the next service.
• Work as a true team player, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive, collaborative atmosphere.
