Are you looking to build a career in the international marine insurance market?Our Builder’s Risk team is now looking for a new Claims executive who will support our clients when the unexpected happens.

The team is located in Oslo and is an important part of the global Specialty function in Gard.

Shipyards can face a wide range of risks throughout a long and complex construction process.

Providing first class claims service is central to what we do, and the Builders Risk team deal with various types of claims related to shipyards, new buildings and vessel conversions on a global basis.

Key Responsibility:
• Ensure good cooperation and support to client, correct compensation and controlled claims handling costs.
• Representing Gard in the market and cooperating with Members and Clients.
• Appointing and following up surveyors, lawyers and other third-party service providers.
• Review and analysis of survey reports and other documentation.
• Assisting and advising clients on repair options.
• Extensive client and broker contact.
• Liaising with claims adjusters on coverage issues.
• Collaboration with our Loss Prevention department and participation in exercises and seminars.
• Process information from various sources and identify patterns.

Who are you;
• You have experience with Marine or Builders Risk Claims or other relevant fields.
• You can build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and clients.
• You can structure and organize tasks and work independently, yet you can perform in and contribute to a team-oriented environment, both locally and globally. Some travel will be required in this respect.
• You are highly motivated to learn as well as share knowledge.
• You have a practical, solution-oriented mindset.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
